The Dean of Undergraduates (DOU) Division is proud of the hard work and dedication of the student leaders, faculty, and staff that serve our Rice Community in various capacities. Each year the division works to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond in their roles. The Graham C. Stebbings Award was established in 1982 to recognize a graduating senior who has performed outstanding service to their residential college or the residential college system at large. Please click here for more information.

The DOU Staff Recognition Award recognizes staff members for their outstanding achievements in their unit, the Division of the Dean of Undergraduates, or Rice as a whole. Preference will be given to candidates that establish collaborative relationships. Please click here for more information.
- DOU Rising Star Award

The DOU Rising Star Award recognizes staff members who have created or utilized an opportunity to grow and develop in their role, and as a result, have made significant contributions to their unit, the Division of the Dean of Undergraduates, or Rice as a whole. Staff members are eligible for the Rising Star Award through their first 3 years of service. Preference will be given to candidates that establish collaborative relationships. The Outstanding DOU Partner Award recognizes a faculty or staff member from outside the division who has served as a critical partner and support for an office within the division, and who has made a significant impact on that office or the Division of the Dean of Undergraduates as a whole.
