History
The Graham C. Stebbings Award was established in 1982 to recognize a graduating senior who has performed outstanding service to their residential college or the residential college system at large.
Selection
While all graduating seniors should be considered eligible, the preferred recipient is one who has not been accorded any form of public recognition for his or her services, for example, through the receipt of significant awards or through election to a major College office. One graduating senior may be nominated by each of the residential Colleges, and the nomination process varies by College. Nomination letters are typically accepted in the spring of each academic year, with a deadline in early March.
Award
The award carries a monetary prize of $1,000 along with an award plaque that will be appropriately inscribed. One or two students may also receive a special recognition award. In addition, a wall plaque on which the names of previous recipients are inscribed will be displayed of the College of the current recipient.
