The Division of the Dean of Undergraduates brings together all aspects of the undergraduate student experience. Many events at Rice are designed to create a sense of community, engagement, and belonging. Upcoming Highlighted Events
- O-Week: New student orientation, or O-Week at Rice, is scheduled for August 13-19, 2023! The main purpose of O-Week is to get you registered for classes and introduce you to Rice's academic requirements and opportunities. The second purpose of O-Week is to introduce you to Rice's policies, resources, and values, as well as the tradition, culture, and community of your residential college. - Families Weekend: Families are invited to join the Owl community on campus September 29 - October 1 for Rice Families Weekend 2023! From engaging lectures offered by top faculty to campus tours to the annual family picnic and Rice football game, Families Weekend gives parents, families and loved ones the opportunity to get a taste of the unique Rice experience. A full schedule of events will be shared in the coming months. Until then, save the date!
- Alumni Weekend: Mark your calendars for Alumni Weekend 2023, Rice’s Homecoming & Reunion experience, on November 3-5! The entire alumni community is invited back to campus for a weekend of celebration and reconnection. Details about the weekend – including class reunions and a variety of campus events for alumni – will be announced in the coming months.
